Lillian Ethel MacKay
Age 86, Hemford, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2016 in Harbour View Haven Nursing Home, Lunenburg, where she had been residing. Born in Hemford, she was a daughter of the late Maurice and Belle (Whynot) Veinot. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion branch 102 Ladies Auxiliary, New Germany. Lillian volunteered many hours with various community groups and organizations throughout her years. Surviving are her companion, John Hull, Hemford; daughter, Susan (Loran) MacKay, Mount Pleasant; grandchildren, David, Ashley and Christopher; brothers, Foster (Patricia) Veinot, Eslma (Sylvia) Veinot, all of Hemford; nieces, Jeannie Ann and Monica, nephews, Stephen, George and Kevin. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Reginald MacKay; brothers, Royden Veinot, John Veinot. Lillian’s personal request was for a private family visitation and funeral service only. Rev. David Whynot officiating with interment in Lakeview Cemetery, Pleasant River. Family flowers only please, donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation or Lakeview Cemetery. The family want to thank the staff of South Shore Regional Hospital, Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital and Harbour View Haven Nursing Home for all their love, support and dignity given to our Mom.
