Obituary of Beulah Margaret Ramey

Beulah Margaret Ramey Age 86, New Germany, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Bridgewater, she was a daughter of the late Wilfred Clarence and Beulah Mae (Hebb) Hull. Living all her life in New Germany, she taught bookkeeping at night school and did income taxes for many people and small businesses. She loved and was good at math. Beulah was instrumental in the application and the securing of the initial grant which funded the construction of the Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany. She sewed all her life making lots of quilts; she loved knitting and there was nothing she couldn’t do, sweaters, socks and mittens were her passion in later life. She always shared her pickles, jams and mincemeat with her family, nothing went to waste from the garden. At Christmas time, her joy was to give everyone a homemade dark fruit cake. Beulah loved to talk, reciting poems, telling stores and she had lots of sayings, “tough as a boiled owl” we often heard and she proved that herself as her sickness spanned the past 12 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Margaret Hubley (Alan Power), Pinehurst; Arlene Flemming (Elaine Llewellyn), New Germany; sons, Robert “Bobby” (Rosanne) Flemming, Ardoise; Arthur (Cathy) Flemming, Calgary; Sherwood (Robert) Flemming, Toronto; grandchildren, Allana, Meghan, Daniel “Danny”, Shonna; great-grandchildren, Abigail, Emma, Mallory, Mason, Morgan, Owen, MacKenzie, Ella, Jake; brothers, Wilfred (Sandra) Hull, New Germany; H.
