Obituary of Maisie Alma Richards

Maisie Alma Richards 94 of West LaHave passed away peacefully at the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater on Monday, August 29, 2016. Born in West Dublin, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. Publicover and Hazel (Haughn) Publicover. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge #66 all her adult life and a Sunday School Teacher and Girl Guide Leader. Maisie enjoyed painting pictures, quilting, sewing, camping, playing guitar and bowling. She was an avid reader and enjoyed many card games. She especially loved her little dog, Kiki. She is survived by daughters, Marilyn Romkey, Glenda Llewellyn, Pamela (Byron) Long, Ont., brother, Charles “Sonny” Publicover (Sheila); sister, Goldie Romkey; grandchildren, Troy, Scott, Terri, Lori, Amanda; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Laura, Kaitlynn, Ashley, Caitlyn, Morgan, Riley and several nieces and a nephew. She was predeceased by husband, Cecil Richards and granddaughter, Treena Romkey. A private family committal service will be held at Brookside Cemetery, West Dublin. Memorial donations may be made to the South Shore Regional Hospital or charity of choice.
