Obituary of Mae Perlene Slauenwhite
Mae Perlene Slauenwhite
Age 93 of Stanburne passed away on Wednesday March 16, 2016 in Mahone Nursing Home, Mahone Bay. Born in East Dalhousie, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Alma (Fancy) Oickle. Mae was a happy homemaker who especially enjoyed pillow slip embroidery work, knitting, quilting, baking, camping and visiting friends. Mae is survived by her sons Robert (Laverne) Slauenwhite, Margaretsville; Herbert (Dianne) Slauenwhite, Wentzell Lake; sisters Ella Slauenwhite and Mable Reeves; grandchildren Tanya (Blake) Johnson, Shane (Shawna) Slauenwhite, Derek (Kirsty) Slauenwhite, Colin (Lynett) Slauenwhite; Great grandchildren Brendan, Jack, Cale, Ella, Alex, Caden and Harley along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Burpee; son Harley and brother Maurice Oickle. Visitation will be held 7:00 to 9:00 P.M., Saturday March 19 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 Highway 10, New Germany. Funeral service will be held 2:30 P.M., Sunday March 20 in St. John in the Wilderness Anglican Church, New Germany, Rev. Catherine Robar officiating.
