Special thanks to all my family, the staff at Drumlin Hills, Dr. S. Dwyer, Dr. M. Barrington, EHS, and many, many more.” Thora was one of the first women in Canada to become a licensed machinist and was proud of her contribution to the war effort. As a young woman she also helped in her parent’s restaurant in Petitcodiac, a favorite stop for military personnel during WW2. She raised her family and led a quiet and joyful life, taking pleasure in watching the deer and the birds, gardening, sewing, quilting, knitting and travelling to Hawaii. She deeply appreciated the beauty of nature and the kindness of others. She loved her home at Drumlin Hills where the staff treated her with loving kindness every day.
