Obituary of Iona Maxine Veinot

Iona Maxine Veinot Age 93, of New Germany, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2016 in Surf Lodge Nursing Home, Lockeport, where she had been residing. Born in Simpsons Corner, she was a daughter of the late Reginald and Olivia (Veinot) Hyson. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are her daughter, Betty Ann (Rick) Lynn, Georgetown, ON; Clarence (Joan) Hyson, New Germany; Ivan (Carol) Veinotte, New Germany; grandchildren, Larry (Shelley) Veinotte, Kevin (Kim) Veinotte, Ramona Lynn, Rhonda (Mark) Hancock, Starlene Hyson; great-grandchildren, Claire, Clint, Nicholas, Bradley, Breanna. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry Ivan Veinot; sisters, Helen Baker, Alice Woodworth, Rennie Knox, Muriel Snyder, Hazel Snyder. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m., Thursday, June 23 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 route 10, New Germany. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, June 24 in Epworth United Church, New Germany with Rev. David Lutes officiating. Private family interment will follow in Epworth Cemetery.
