Obituary of John Marvin Bergson

John Marvin Bergson Age 88, formerly of Pleasantville, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Monday, January 30, 2017 in Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany, where he had been residing. Born in Winnipeg, he was a son of the late Gudberg and Freda (McLellan) Bergson and predeceased by brother, Rick Bergson. He was a former Winnipeg Blue Bomber professional football player, # 24 half back from 1947-1948. He worked many years in British Columbia building roof trusses in the construction business and later resided on Salt Spring Island. Surviving are his sons, Yon Bergson, Kelowna, BC., and Anthony (Tony) Bergson, Tofino, BC., two grandchildren Leif and Thane Bergson, and nieces Linda Woodward and Gale Hayman. Cremation has taken place and by personal request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. No flowers please, donations may be made to Rosedale Home for Special Care.
