Obituary of Marjorie Pearl Crouse
Marjorie Pearl Crouse
Age 92, Cookville, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017 in Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany, where she had been residing. Born in West Northfield, she was a daughter of the late Theophilus and Stella (Feener) Bruhm. Marjorie spent her younger years in West Northfield until she married Earl Fenwick Crouse on April 29, 1944 and moved to Cookville and lived there until 2013. Marjorie was a member of St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, West Northfield, where over the years she taught Sunday school, was a choir member, an organist and was a member of the Dorcus Sewing Circle. Marjorie worked at the Turkey Burger Restaurant for over 30 years and also helped on the family farm. Marjorie is survived by her son, Caroll (Peggy) Crouse, Cookville; daughter-in-law, Shirley Crouse (Richard Snyder), New Germany; grandchildren, Jonathan (Mary), Jeanette (Ian), Cathy (Reid) and Kenneth; great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Ira, Avalon and Claire. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Earl; brother, Lester; son, James. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m., Thursday, February 23 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Friday, February 24 in St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, West Northfield with Rev. Svante Olson officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, West Northfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, Rosedale Home for Special Care or Maple Grove Cemetery.
