Obituary of David Bruce Corkum

of David Bruce Corkum 64, of Hebbville, Lunenburg County, passed away August 13, 2008 at the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Riverport, he was a son of the late Bruce Donald and Rhea Alma (Crouse) Corkum. He was employed with the Ultramar Refinery in Dartmouth for 30 years until his retirement at the age of 50. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, the former Linda Rhodenizer; sister-in-laws, Fay (Len) Slauenwhite, Pleasantville; Gloria (Ron) Maghay, Lake Fletcher; brother-in-law, Aubrey (Faye) Rhodenizer, Cookville; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his aunt, Selena Wilson. A memorial service will be held 2pm Saturday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater, Rev Ivan Norton officiating. Burial at sea will take place at a later date. No flowers or visitation by request. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
