Obituary of Robert Wentzell

Robert Donald Wentzell 77, of Bridgewater, passed away August 18, 2002 at home. Born in Bridgewater he was the son of the late Robert Percy and Ruth (Harlow) Wentzell. He was a veteran of the Second World War. He was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 24, Bridgewater; member of the I.O.O.F Lodge in Bridgewater. For several years he owned and operated Bob Wentzell Real Estate in Bridgewater. He was an engineer with CNR for 34 years. He is survived by his companion, Francis Wentzell; sons, James (Norma), Bridgewater; John (Marie), West LaHave; daughter, Karen (Franklyn) Strum, Blockhouse; 7 grandchildren; sisters, Doris Frame, Stellarton; Elizabeth Curry, Horton; Carolynn Mulock; Dean’s Corner. He was predeceased by his wife, Doris (Nickerson); son Robert Arnold Wentzell. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater with a public Legion Tribute Service being held at 7pm. Funeral service will be held 11am Thursday in the Bridgewater United Baptist Church, Rev. Norman Hovland officiating. Burial will follow in the Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Family flowers only.
