Obituary of Helen Irene Thompson

Helen Irene (Meisner) Thompson Age 96, of West Clifford passed away on February 14, 2017 in Shoreham Village Chester where she was residing. She was born in Queensland NS, daughter of late Roland and Maude Meisner. She grew up in Bridgewater. She was married to Aubrey Thompson in Bridgewater and lived most of their married life in West Clifford. Her married life was spent looking after her home, her family and gardening. She is survived by her children, son Bernard (Marilyn) Thompson, Grand Valley, ON; daughters, Norma (Ervin) Oickle of New Minas and Connie (Lloyd) Crouse of West Clifford. Eleven grandchildren, Stephen, Sherri, Michelle, Laura, Kandy, Betsy, Jeff, Julie, Scott, Krista and Meghan. Twenty-five great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. She is survived by sisters Nita, Marguerite, Mildred, Betty, Flora, Faye and Bernadette, one brother Jack. She was predeceased by husband Aubrey Thompson, son Gary (Susan) Thompson, granddaughter Katherine (Stephen) Whitney, six brothers and three sisters. Cremation has taken place under the direction of C.F. Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. No flowers by request, private burial at a later date.
