Obituary of Audrey Estella Veinot
Audrey Estella Veinot
– on February 2, 2017, surrounded by the love of family around her and of those who could not be with us, we said goodbye to a wonderful mom, nanny, sister, aunt and friend. Audrey Estella (Mosher) Veinot, passed away at Ryan Hall, Bridgewater, where she had made her home for 4 years and where she made many friends among both residents and staff. Audrey was born in Dartmouth on September 23, 1920, eldest daughter of Annis and Leta (Waterman) Mosher. After a few years spent in Timmons, Ont., and Brookfield Mines, she made her home in New Germany where she married Robert Vincent Veinot in 1940. She worked in various stores in New Germany including Lantz’s Store and Stedman’s, and was an active member of Epworth United Church and the UCW. Audrey is survived by her daughter, Sherilyn and husband Everett Barry and their children, Craig and his wife Angie, Lisa Barry and her children, Jonah and Gracen, grand-daughter-in-law, JoAnne Barry (Paul deceased) and their children, Katlyn, Alana, Caleb; grandson, Darren Veinot and his wife, Marlene and their children, Danika and Cody; brother, Carl and Jean; sister, Kathleen Trethewey; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Mosher, Ruby Feindel and Minnie Veinot; aunt, Jean Fairn; many special nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Robert; son, Robert (Bobby); grandsons, Paul and Derek; brother, Kendall. There will be no visitation at the funeral home by request. Family and friends are invited to join us for a Celebration of her life at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 5 in Epworth United Church, New Germany with Rev. David Lutes officiating. A reception will follow the service in the church hall where we will be able to share our memories of Audrey. Anyone wishing to make a memorial donation may do so to Epworth United Church, Lunenburg County VON or a charity of choice. We want to extend our sincere thanks to the management, staff and residents of Ryan Hall, especially Crescent Lane for the love, kindness and friendship shown to Audrey during the 4 years she made her home there. Everything was very much appreciated by all the family.
