Obituary of Maynard Carver

Maynard William Carver 91, New Germany, Lunenburg Co., passed away Saturday, November 8, 2003 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Walden, he was a son of the late Ozem and Ruby (Carver) Carver. He was a retired employee of Bowater Mersey Paper Company. Maynard was a past member of the I.O.O.F., New Germany and a founding member of the New Germany Volunteer Fire Department (1945) and where he continued as an active member. He was a dedicated caretaker for the Epworth Cemetery for over 20 years. He also enjoyed playing cards and the sport of fishing. Surviving are his wife the former Audrey Langille. Sisters, Myrna Mossman, Lunenburg; Mabel Sheridan, Bridgetown. Brothers, Harry (friend Lucy), Chester; Russell (May), Fredericton; Gardner (Ferne), Bridgewater. Many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Clara Baker and brother Kenneth. No visitation at the funeral home by request. Memorial service 2 p.m., Wednesday in St. John in the Wilderness Anglican Church, New Germany. Rev. Tom Henderson officiating. Interment of ashes in Epworth Cemetery. A reception will follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Germany Fire Department, New Germany and Area Medical Centre, Epworth Cemetery, charity of choice.
