Obituary of Rayburn Conrad

Rayburn St. Clair Conrad 74, Wileville, Lunenburg Co., passed away October 30, 2003 at home. Born in Lower Branch, he was a son of the late Lawrence and Verna (Knox) Conrad. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion, branch 24, Bridgewater. Surviving are his sons, Chris (Lisa); Michael (Shelley), both of Bridgewater. Daughters, Debbie (Dalton) Jodrey, Pleasantville; Virginia (Roger) Caldwell, Digby; Corinne (Darrell) Crouse, Tantallon; Nancy (Corey), Newcombville. Brothers, Glendon; Carman, both of Lower Branch; sisters, Joyce (Carroll) Lowe, Lower Branch; Gloria (Bernard) Mailman; Audrey (Chester) Sarty; all of West Northfield. Nine grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, Roderick; Granville, infant sister, Alice. Visitation 7-9 p.m., Sunday, with a public Legion tribute service at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Monday, all in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Immediate family flowers only, donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, Lunenburg County branch of the VON., Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund.
