Obituary of Charlotte Dappolonio
Charlotte Dappolonio (Fillmore)
51, Bridgewater, passed away March 6, 2003 at home after a valiant battle with cancer. She was a daughter of Frances (Horne) Fillmore of Bridgewater and the late Carl Fillmore of Truro. Charlotte worked in many places during her life; a group home in Halifax for troubled teens; at the old Dawson Memorial Hospital in the pharmacy dept.; at the Tops’l Tavern; then at the River Pub in Bridgewater; at Imports Unlimited; then at a group home on Maple St. for troubled teens; at LaHave Manor group home on Alexandra Ave. Her last job, being with Cookville Irving. Charlotte was a good listener and was always helping others with their problems. Everyone else came before her. One of her most cherished times in life, was when she was baptized by Father Michael Walsh and she became a Catholic, something she had always wanted and meant to do. Besides her mother, she is survived by her companion, Daniel Robichaud; son, Richard “Ricky” Dappolonio; brothers, Ted and Scott Fillmore, all of Bridgewater; Blair (Monique) Fillmore, Shelburne; sisters, Joan and Sandra Fillmore, Bridgewater; niece, Rosalyn and nephew James Fillmore, Shelburne; an uncle, Lewie Horne, Bridgewater; Aunt Ena and cousin Twila, Mass., USA and a host of friends. Charlotte was predeceased by her husband, Rick Dappolonio Cremation has taken place under the direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater, where visitation will be held Sunday from 7 to 9pm with prayers being offered at 8pm. A graveside service will be held 2pm Monday in the Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater, Father Michael Walsh officiating. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
