Obituary of Kenneth Doggett

Kenneth Eldridge Doggett 81, Bridgewater, formerly of Hunts Point passed away September 9, 2003 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, after a lengthy illness. Born in White Point, Queen’s Co., he was a son of the late Herbert and Ida (Bourgaize) Doggett. He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving in Canada with the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps. He was a member of Mersey Branch #38 of the Royal Canadian Legion, Liverpool. He was a self-employed inshore fisherman until he retired in 1985. He was active in the community and the church. Member of Bay View Senior’s and a former member of Wesley United Church, Hunts Point. He is survived by his loving wife Marjorie Mae (Huskins) of 56 years. Daughter, Linda (Vincent) Wood, Canso. Son, Gary and grandson Brett Doggett, Bridgewater. Granddaughters, Karen (Timothy) DeWofe, Bedford; Heather (Jeffery) Wood of Seabright. Sister Irene (Robert) Munyon, Worchester, Mass. Several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant son and twin brother. Sisters, Ruby Lind and Evelyn MacLeod. Cremation has taken place. Visitation 7-9 p.m. Thursday with a Memorial service 11 a.m., Friday all in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Rev. Ivan Norton officiating.
