Obituary of Carlean Fraser

Carlean Beatrice Fraser 84, Oakhill, Lunenburg County, passed away August 19, 2003 in the Harbour View Haven, Home for Special Care, Lunenburg. Born in Riverport, she was the daughter of the late Amy Conrad. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. Carlean lived in the Riverport area for most of her life. In 1979, she and her late husband bought a hobby farm in Baker Settlement where she lived until shortly after her husband’s death in 1990, when she moved to Oakhill. Carlean participated in many community activities; was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary in the Royal Canadian Legion, Lunenburg Branch; a member of the Bridgewater United Church. She was an avid card player and attended many card parties in many different communities. Carlean enter Harbour View Haven, Home for Special Care, Lunenburg in 1998 where she remained until she passed away. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert St. Clair Fraser. A memorial service will be held 2pm Friday in the Bridgewater United Church, Rev Ivan Norton officiating. Burial will follow in the Shepherds Hill Cemetery, Riverport. There will be no visitation at the funeral home by request. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Heart and Stoke Foundation of N.S. or the Canadian Cancer Society.
