Obituary of Iona Fraser

Iona Bernice Fraser 69, North River, Lunenburg Co., passed away Friday, December 12, 2003 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Springfield, she was a daughter of Goldie (Acker) Robar, Cherryfield and the late Harry Robar. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, North River where she was a longtime choir member. She was an active volunteer with the Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany. Surviving are her daughters, Sandra (Bruce) Robar, North River; Jeanette Wentzell (David Frank), New Germany. Sisters, Myrtle (Thomas) Jacques, Elaine (Roderick) Acker, both of North River; Evelene Robar, New Germany; Linda Heinzman, Oromocto, N.B. Brother John (Bettyanne) Robar, North River. Grandchildren, Lorin, Brennen, Justin Robar; Randy Wentzell, Shaylene Frank. Many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Lois Robar. Visitation, 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Monday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 route 10, New Germany. Funeral 2 p.m., Tuesday, in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, North River. Rev. Larry Ehrhardt officiating, cremation will follow. Family flowers only, memorial donations may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
