Obituary of Douglas Harlow

Douglas Clarence Harlow 74, left this world peacefully on August 21, 2003 with family at his side. Doug was born in Bridgewater and returned there in his later years. He worked for many years in the grocery business and in real estate until he and his wife Hazel retired and spent many warm winters in Florida. He was often happiest in his cabin in Walden and attending National Camping and Hiking Association (NCHA) camp-outs. Doug leaves behind his wife Hazel (MacDougall) and three daughters Suzan Bowser (Michael) Lynn Anne Kay (William) and Gail Bolt (Neil) as well as nine grandchildren. He was predeceased by his mother Nellie, his father Clarence and an infant brother. In keeping with Dad’s wishes there will be no memorial service. The family will receive friends at Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater, from 1-3 p.m., Monday. A private family interment will be held at a later date. No flowers by request.
