of Alma Pauline Daury 82, Springfield, Annapolis Co., passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 in Q.E. II Health Science Centre, Infirmary Site, Halifax. Born in Kingston, she was a daughter of the late William Ford and Opal Myrtle (Carver) Joudrey. Surviving are her daughters, Eva (Mervyn) Zinck, Shirley Demone, both of New Germany; Barbara (Bruce) Lohnes, North River; Judy (Gregory) Whynot, Falkland Ridge; Doris (Lee) Roberge, British Columbia. Sons, Lester (Elaine) Russell, Falkland Ridge; Graham (Ginny Penney), Alberta; Bill (Julieann), New Germany. Sisters, Gladys Wentzell, New Germany; Joyce Oickle, Stanburne; Estella DeLong, Alice Durling, both of Barss Corner; Phyllis Ritcey, Baker Settlement; Beulah Dauphinee, West Northfield. Brothers, Garnet Joudrey, Tracy Joudrey, both of East Dalhousie. 20 grandchildren, 35 great grand children, 2 great-great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, John Russell, second husband, Philip Daury; sisters, Ruby Varner, Doris Neily, Hilda Joudrey, Arlene and Lillis, both in infancy; brothers, Oakley Joudrey, Hudson Joudrey; grandson, Lawrence Lohnes; great grandson, Jeramy Lohnes. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m., Friday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 route 10, New Germany. Funeral 11 a.m. Saturday in St. John in the Wilderness Anglican Church, New Germany. Rev. Anna Hoeg, Rev. Robert Gates, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family flowers only, donations may be made to St. John in the Wilderness Anglican Church or charity of choice.
