Obituary of Julie Ann DeBaie

of Julie Ann DeBaie 16, New Germany, Lunenburg County, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 in Pinehurst, as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of Vivian Ann (Whynott) DeBaie (Russell Bezanson), New Germany and the late Blair DeBaie. Julie was a grade 10 student of New Germany Rural High School, where she loved sports; she was a part time employee with Canadian Tire Corporation, Bridgewater. She was a former member of the Baptist youth group and volunteer with the Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany. Julie was full of life, living the motto, “Life is for living, so live it”. She was liked by everyone who had the opportunity to know her. Surviving are her brother, Blair, New Germany; half brother, Ken Carpenter, Western Canada; maternal grandparents, Elmer and Julie Whynott, North River; paternal grandmother, Florence DeBaie, Dartmouth; several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by foster grandparents, Leslie and Margaret Rafuse; paternal grandfather, Cedric DeBaie. No visitation at the funeral home by request. Service 11 a.m. Saturday in the New Germany Regional High School Gymnasium, New Germany. Rev. Jennifer Joudrey officiating with burial to follow in Epworth Cemetery, New Germany. Donations in Julie’s memory may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or NGRHS Senior Girl’s Basketball Team.
