Obituary of Alice Ramey

Alice FloEllen (Hirtle) Ramey 96, of Upper LaHave / Newcombville, Lunenburg County, passed away November 23, 2003 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born November 29, 1906 in Wentzell Lake, Lunenburg County, she was a daughter of the late Avery and Ida (Knox) Hirtle. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She worked in the United States and retired back in Nova Scotia in 1972. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard; brothers, Luander, Arthur, Darius, Amos, Canis, Hurman, Basil, Merle, Harris; sisters, Lola and Winnie. A graveside service will be held 1:30pm Thursday in the Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater, Rev Willis Ott officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home by request. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater or the charity of your choice.
