Obituary of John Rhynard

John Oscar Rhynard 77, Springfield, Annapolis Co., passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2003 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Centrelea, Annapolis Co., he was a son of the late Harry and Susan (Gregory) Rhynard. He was a veteran, having served overseas for the Second World War and the Korean War. He was a member of the Springfield United Baptist Church, member of the Royal Canadian Legion branch 102, New Germany and honorary member of the Springfield Volunteer Fire Department. Surviving are his wife the former Florence Arenburg. Daughters, Karen (Clifford) Rhodenizer, Farmington; Kim (Aubrey) Wentzell, Falkland Ridge. Granddaughters, Nicole and Lindsay Rhodenizer, Ashley and Natasha Wentzell. Brothers, Raymond, Bridgetown; Louis, Lawrencetown. Several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Kenneth, Douglas. Visitation 7 – 9 p.m., Wednesday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, #4895 route 10, New Germany where a legion tribute service will be at 6:45 p.m. Funeral 3 p.m., Thursday in Springfield United Baptist Church. Rev. Robert Gates officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Donations may be made to Springfield United Baptist Church, South Shore Regional Hospital.
