Obituary of Jennie Ritcey

Jennie "Leone" Ritcey 87, Bridgewater passed away August 11, 2003 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born September 26, 1915 in Bridgewater, she was the daughter of the late Fletcher A. and Jennie (Weagle) Kemp. She was a member of Bridgewater United Baptist Church. Surviving are granddaughter Wanda Melanson, New Glasgow; grandson, Alan Melanson, Halifax; sister Georgina (Bill) Canham, Orleans, Ont; brother Aubrey (Margaret) Kemp, Ottawa. She was predeceased by her husband Walter; daughter Betti and son in law Harold Melanson; granddaughter Shanawa Melanson; sister Carrie O’Connell; brother Vernon; half sisters, Una Hillson, Edith Kemp, Ruby Fry. There will be no visitation at the funeral home by request, graveside service will be held at 4 p.m., Thursday in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Rev. Dr. Thomas Harvey officiating.
