Obituary of Lorna Silver

Lorna Joyce Silver 59, New Germany, passed away on October 22, 2003 in the Q.E. II Health Sciences Center, VG Site, Halifax. Born in Simpsons Corner, she was a daughter of Pearle (Zwicker) Arenburg, Bridgewater and the late Owen Arenburg. She was an employee of the Royal Bank, working in New Germany and Bridgewater branches. She was a member of Epworth United Church, New Germany where she was a past secretary and treasurer. She was an active volunteer for the Canadian Cancer Society, Big Brother/Big Sisters and various other charitable organizations. She was a past leader of the 1st New Germany Beaver Pack. Surviving are her son, Neil (Debbie) Silver, Fauxburg, grandchildren, Erika and Evan Knickle. Sisters, Agnes Robar, Bridgewater; Izilda (Murray) Robar, Cherryfield; Inez (Bob) Comeau, Simpsons Corner. Brother, Eric (Mildred) Arenburg, Wileville. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Eugene Silver. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m., today (Friday) in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, #4895 route 10, New Germany. Funeral 11 a.m., Saturday in Epworth United Church, New Germany. Rev. Joan Conrad officiating. Burial will follow in Epworth Cemetery, New Germany.
