Obituary of Roy Snyder

Roy Charles Snyder 81, of Pleasantville, Lunenburg County, passed away March 31, 2001, in the Fishermen's Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg, after a lengthy illness with cancer. He was well taken care of by his wife of fifty seven years. Born in Wileville, he was a son of the late Leander and Etta Snyder, Conquerall Bank. He was a building contractor for a good many years and was very well known. He is survived by his wife, the former Arlene Sarty; son Ronald ( Bev ), Middle Sackville; grandson Alan, Dartmouth; brother Murray, Conquerall Bank; sisters, Greta Hirtle, Dublin Shore; Maggie Crouse ( Jack ), Hebbville; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by son Leigh and a brother Billy. No visitation by request. A memorial service will be held 11am Tuesday in Sweeny’s Funeral Chapel, Bridgewater, Rev. Penny Bailey and Rev. Norman Hovland officiating. A private family internment will be in the Pleasantville Cemetery. No flowers by request. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of your choice.
