Obituary of Stuart Wagner

Stuart Charles Wagner 80, Falkland Ridge, Annapolis Co., passed away Saturday, September 13, 2003 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Falkland Ridge, he was a son of the late Frederick and Florence (Brown) VanBuskirk and the adopted son of the late Anthony and Myrtle Wagner. He was a member of the Falkland Ridge Baptist Church, Falkland Ridge and the Falkland Ridge Senior Citizens Club. As a hobby, he enjoyed woodworking, especially folk art. Surviving are his step daughters, Mary (Dr. Fred Akin), Windsor; Marjorie (Harold) Corkum, Dartmouth; Estella (Terry) Veinot, Monestery; Gloria (Owen) Zinck, Falkland Ridge. Step sons, Leonard (Reiko) Gallant, Kingston; Paul (Patricia) Gallant, Nanaimo, B.C. Sister, Marjorie VanBuskirk, West Dalhousie, brothers, Allan VanBuskirk, Alberta; Ronald VanBuskirk, Melvern Square. 20 step grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife the former, Hallie Arlington Wiles. A sister, Pauline Spencer; brother, Douglas VanBuskirk. Visitation for family and friends will b e 7 – 9 p.m., Monday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, #4895 route 10, New Germany. Funeral 2 p.m., Tuesday in Falkland Ridge Baptist Church. Rev. Robert Gates officiating. Burial will follow in the Falkland Ridge Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Falkland Ridge Cemetery.
