Shirley Virginia Wamboldt
72, of Waterloo, Lunenburg County, formerly of Middlewood, passed away June 1, 2003 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Middlewood, she was a daughter of the late Wilson and Leliah (Slauenwhite) Rafuse. She was a member of the Middlewood United Church. She was a foster mother to numerous foster children in her life and took care of many seniors in the past. Surviving are her husband, Aubrey; sons, Derek (Charlotte), Waterloo; Jeffery (Debbie), Lapland; Trevor, Ontario; daughter, Annette (David) Oneil, Dartmouth; grandchildren, Cindy, Colpton; Charmane, Lapland; Barry, Fort McMurray, Alberta; Patrick, Danesville; sisters, Gladys Slauenwhite, Riverport; Florence Wagner, Bridgewater; Marjorie Wile, Lower Branch; brothers; Myles (Ruby), Broad Cove; Fred, Middlewood; Stanley (Sharon), Middlewood; John “Jack” (Susan), Camperdown; Harold (Marie), Camperdown; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Thomas, Charles, Carl, Ernest, 3 brothers in infancy; sister, Verna Croft. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. A graveside service will be held 1pm Wednesday in the Middlewood United Church Cemetery, Rev. Karen Ohrt officiating. No flowers or visitation by request.
