Obituary of Marguerite Crouse

Marguerite (Margaret) Theresa Crouse 94, of Crousetown, passed away April 1, 2004 with family by her side at the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Sable River, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary Esther (Wallace) Walsh. She entertained many people with her ability to play piano and her beautiful singing voice. Her passions were her music and fly fishing. She was church organist for 50 years. She was a member St. Andrews United Church and Turquoise Rebekah Lodge # 132 and was a lodge member for 73 years. Happy times were spent at Wilfred’s and her cottage in Margaree Valley, Cape Breton, fishing each day. She loved people and especially her family, whom she was always there for. She is survived by her daughter, Dawn (Billie) Teal, Grandchildren, Mary Kathryn Bauch, Scott Drummond (Laura), Kari-Lynne Daniels (Bobby); step grandchildren, Rhonda Burke, Craig Teal (Tammy), Pam Teal (Troy); great grandchildren, Justin, Cassie, MacKenzie, Andrew Dieter; step great grandchildren, Christopher, Dylan, April, Kennedy; brother, Ronald Walsh, Quebec. She was predeceased by her first husband, Wilfred R. Crouse Sr.; son, Wilfred Crouse Jr.; second husband, Norman Hirtle. Visitation will be held Monday from 7 to 9pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. A memorial service will be held 3pm Tuesday in the Wesley United Church, Petite Riviere, Rev Karen Ohrt officiating. Family flowers only.
