Obituary of Therese Dorey

Therese Frieda Dorey 70, Pinehurst, Lunenburg Co., formerly of Martins River, passed away, Wednesday, February 4, 2004 at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Schlatheim, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Adalbert and Berta (Appun) Hesse. She was the former town crier for the Town of Mahone Bay and a retired employee of the Red Buoy Restaurant, Mahone Bay. She was a member of the German – Canadian Cultural Association and the Pinehurst Willing Workers. Surviving are her sisters, Gisela März; Gudrun Weidt, both of Germany. Many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Calvin Dorey. Visitation 7 – 8 p.m., Sunday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 route 10, New Germany. Funeral 2 p.m., Monday in Trinity Lutheran Church, New Germany. Rev. Linda Kuschnik officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
