Obituary of Glenna Feeman

Glenna Belle Margaret Freeman 93, Hemford, Lunenburg Co., passed away, Thursday, February 26, 2004 in Queen’s General Hospital, Liverpool. Born in Hemford, she was a daughter of the late Nathaniel “Tanny” and Taphenas “Peony” (Haines) Veinot. She was an adherent of the Hemford Emmanuel United Church, where earlier in life, she was a Sunday School teacher. She was a past member of the former Rebekah Lodge, Hemford and New Germany. Prior to being married, she taught school within Lunenburg County. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are her daughter, Eleanor (Randell) Dominaux, Lower Sackville; son, Ronald, Hemford. Grandchildren, Kevin (Sharon), Paradise, Nfld; Gary, Lower Sackville; Natalie (Paul King), Lance. Several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Murray; sisters, Barbara Foster, Marjorie Haines, Kathryn Butler, Audrey McIntyre. Visitation 7 – 9 p.m., today in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 route 10, New Germany. Funeral 2 p.m. Saturday in Hemford Emmanuel United Church, Hemford. Rev. Joan Conrad officiating. Burial will follow in the Hemford Cemetery. Flowers from the family only, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia, Hemford Emmanuel United Church or charity of choice.
