Hattie Irene Himmelman
80, of LaHave Islands, Lunenburg County, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2004 in the Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg. Born in LaHave Islands, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Bessie (Bushen) Tumblin. She was a member of the Rebecca Lodge in West Dublin and a member of the LaHave Islands Museum Society. She is survived by her husband, Clyde, son, Kelly (Sharon), Rhodes Corner; grandchildren, Philip, Donna, Michelle, Erin; great grandchildren, Justin, Michaela, Matthew and Christopher; sisters, Odessa Wickline, Sweet Springs, West Virginia; Blanche Caputo, Hamilton, Ontario. She was predeceased by a foster daughter, Marjorie Ann; brothers, Chester, Granville and Earlin; a sister, Genieve. Visitation will be held Monday from 7 to 9pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral service will be held 1:30pm Tuesday in the West Dublin United Church, Rev Sally McShane officiating. Burial will follow in the St Matthews Cemetery, Upper LaHave. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the West Dublin United Church, Canadian Cancer Society or the LaHave Islands Marine Museum.
