Obituary of Stedman Himmelman

Stedman Harold Himmelman 83, of Pleasantville, passed away January 19, 2004 at home. Born in New Cumberland, he was a son of the late Austin and Mary (Wamback) Himmelman. He was a veteran of the Second World War. He was a 53 year member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 24 in Bridgewater; was the first fire chief of the Pleasantville Fire Department. He was a very active member of the Ascension Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife, the former, Pauline Bolivar; daughters, Mary Ann (Frank) Guest, Pleasantville; Betty Lou, Pleasantville; Bonnie Lee (Terry) Wamboldt, Middlewood; grandchildren, Jonathon and Amanda Guest; Jeremy, Joshua and Hannah Wagner; Adam and Ashley Wamboldt; great grandchildren, Nicholas, Jessica Wagner; brother, Cyril, D.V.A. Unit, Halifax. He was predeceased by brothers, Whitford, Titus, Melvin; sister, Dora. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. A public legion tribute service will be held 7pm Wednesday in the funeral home. Funeral service will be held 2pm Thursday in Ascension Lutheran Church, Conquerall Mills, Rev Paul Jensen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Global Hunger through Ascension Lutheran Church, Conquerall Mills or the charity of your choice.
