Lawrence Clark Mailman
83, Lake Pleasant, Annapolis Co., passed away Saturday, July 17, 2004 at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Lake Pleasant, he was a son of the late Watkin and Beatrice (MacDonald) Mailman. He was a veteran of WW II having served with both The Princess Louise Fusiliers and The Cameron Highlanders. Besides his wife the former Pearl Varner he is survived by his son Darrell (Valerie) Kentville; daughters Margaret (Jerry) Lowe, Wentzell Lake; Edith (Ron) Whitman, Fredericton, NB; Karen, Timberlea; Patricia (Dean) Robar, Steam Mill; Jacqueline Foster, Halifax; daughter-in-law Norma, New Minas. Brothers Lorenzo, Springfield; Shirley, Bernard, Lake Pleasant; Merle, Avonport; brother-in-law Merle Wentzell, Lower Branch; sisters Lina Best, Theta Overholt both of London, Ontario; Lenora Durling, Springfield; Ethel Rose, Fredericton, NB; grandchildren Terra, Amie, Jennifer, Aaron, Ryan, Darren, Amanda, Thomas, Andrew, Taylor, Nicholas, Brandon and Kaylie. He was predeceased by his son Keith; brother Bertrand; sisters Lillian, Merna and Cheryl Ann. Visitation will be held Monday from 7 to 9pm in Sweenys Funeral Home 4895 route 10, New Germany. Funeral service will be held 2pm Tuesday in the Springfield Baptist Church, Rev. Robert Gates officiating. Burial will follow in the Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery. Family flowers only.
