Obituary of Scott Nelson

Scott Hugh Nelson 66, of Springfield, Annapolis Co., formerly of Mount Uniacke, Hants Co., passed away at home 9 October 2004. Born in Springhill, he was a son of the late Cecil and Ann (Baker) Nelson. He was a veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces having served in many locations with 1 Line Troop and then with the 726 Communication Sqdn. He was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 102, New Germany. He is survived by his son Allan (Sharon), Scarborough, Ontario; daughter Ellen (Douglas) Borden, Springfield; brother Leigh (Anne) Nelson, East Dalhousie; Sister Carol (Tom) Strickland, Kentville; 5 grandchildren; 3 great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Margaret and his brother Alan in infancy. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 7 to 9pm at Sweenys Funeral Home, 4895 route 10, New Germany and where funeral service will be held 10:30 am Wednesday, Rev. Robert Gates officiating. The Internment will be at 3:30pm in the Leamington cemetery, near Springhill Cumberland Co. Family flowers only.
