Obituary of Richard Archambault
Richard Oliva Archambault
87, Bridgewater, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2005 at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in St. Dominique, Quebec, he was a son of the late Oliva and Angeline (Minette) Archambault. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Bridgewater, where he was a church choir member for over 50 years. Richard achieved the 4th degree with the Knights of Columbus. Prior to retirement, Richard worked in the gold mines of Quebec and as a carpenter on the Saguenay River. He joined the armed forces and served overseas during the Second World War. He then returned back to Bridgewater where he was employed with Nauss Brothers as a carpenter. He then transferred to CFB Greenwood where he was an employee for 29 years in construction and maintenance. He retired in 1983. Surviving are his wife the former Barbara Wentzell; Sons, Richard, British Columbia; John, Halifax; several brothers and sisters in Quebec. He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. No visitation at the funeral home by request. Funeral mass will be 11a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Bridgewater. Msgr. William Wamboldt officiating, burial will follow in the parish cemetery, Bridgewater. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church or charity of choice.
