Obituary of Sarah Connors

Sarah Jane Connors 20, Bridgewater, passed away on November 28, 2005 in the palliative care unit, VG Hospital, Halifax, after a three year struggle with cancer. She was a daughter of Eileen (Chaisson) and the late David William Connors. Also surviving are a sister, Janna; brother, Luke; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Sarah successfully graduated high school, despite her illness and had worked at McDonald’s for a couple of years. All through her illness, Sarah displayed courage and a positive attitude because she loved life. She loved animals and her plan was to go to college and take a course working with animals. Many thanks go out to the doctors and staff, especially the nurses on the 7th and 8th floors of the VG Hospital and the VON. Special thanks to Dr. Stephen Cuban and nurse, Cathy Murphy. Thanks also to McDonald’s and the mental health clinic in Bridgewater for their generosity during her illness. In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to the Children’s Wish Foundation, because they made one of her dreams come true. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Open Bible Church, Exhibition Drive, Bridgewater. Pastor Dana Merscheau officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater.
