Obituary of Shirley Crossland

Shirley Lucille Crossland 72, of Maitland, Lunenburg County, passed away November 21, 2005 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Maitland, she was a daughter of the late Winifred and Stella (Oickle) Barry. She is survived by sons, Dwight, Branch LaHave; Edward (Virginia Oickle), Lower Northfield; Gary (Elizabeth Wentzell), West Northfield; a daughter, Patricia (Eddy Hodder), Middle LaHave; twin grandsons, Joseph and Jonathan Crossland; grandson,Chad Tanner; granddaughter, Vanessa Nauss; sisters, Pearl Joudrey, Bridgewater; Jean Nauss, Spryfield; brothers, Ray (Isabelle) and John, both of Maitland; Donald (Ella May), Northwest; George (Sylvia), Ontario. She is predeceased by her husband, Donald; sister, Phyllis Meisner; brother, Ivan. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 7 to 9pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. A memorial service will be held 2pm Thursday in Christ Anglican Church, Maitland, Rev Ian Wissler officiating. A private family burial will follow in the Christ Anglican Cemetery, Maitland. No flowers by request. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Christ Anglican Church, Maitland or the Canadian Cancer Society.
