Margaret Louise Cullen
83, Halifax and Bridgewater, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2005 in the Q.E. II Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in 1922, in her grandmother’s house in Bridgewater, Margie was the daughter of the late Harris and Ruby (Slauenwhite) Vaughan. She spent her childhood in Bridgewater and later moved to Halifax to work at Ship Chandilers. Later she was employed with Maritime Tel and Tel for 29 and a half years. Margaret was a very giving person, willing to help everybody. She loved flowers and watching birds, reading and knitting sweaters and socks for her nieces and nephews. We know that she is with her beloved husband Gerald, now. She told us only yesterday, “I just saw my husband, look at his beautiful red hair.” Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her dear friends and cousins, Margery Hudson (Morgan); Jimmy and Mary Morgan; Charlie and Sandra MacInnes; special nephew, George Morrison; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband, Gerald; brother, Harry. Visitation 2-4, p.m. Tuesday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater with a public graveside funeral at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Rev. Ron Appleton officiating.
