Over the years, he was a member of the Bridgewater Firemen’s Band, the Bowater Mersey Band, and the Chester Band. He was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Bridgewater. At the young age of 59, he joined the Bridgewater Curling Club, and quickly developed a love for the sport, both on and off the ice. His passions in life included woodworking, gardening, camping, and playing with his grandchildren. He was best known as the neighborhood “Mr. Fix It”, and a man who loved to “putter”. He had great patience in life, and was caring and compassionate to all.Always putting his family first, he is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years Florence (Nixon).
