Obituary of Jeane Lohnes

Jeane Agnes Lohnes 85, of Bridgewater, Lunenburg County, passed away suddenly along with her husband Warren as a result of a motor vehicle accident February 15, 2005. Born in Chester, she was a daughter of the late Jeremiah and Mary Ellen (Barkhouse) Payne. She was a member of Royal Canadian Legion Bridgewater branch 24 Ladies Auxiliary, and the Lions club. She was also a long time member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She is survived by her daughters Gail (Archie) Garron, Sluice Point; Janice (Bob) Rafuse, East Chester; Son Warren Gary (Karen), New Maryland N.B.; brothers Herman and Joe both of Chester; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Scott and Arnold; sisters Blanch and Anne. Visitation will be held Friday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral services will be held 2pm Saturday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Bridgewater, Rev. Mark Wagschal officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside cemetery, Bridgewater.
