Obituary of Warren Lohnes

Warren Raymond Lohnes 83, of Bridgewater, Lunenburg County, passed away suddenly along with his wife Jeane as a result of a motor vehicle accident February 15, 2005. Born in Bridgewater, he was a son of the late Wilfred and Margaret (Stoddard) Lohnes. He was a veteran of WW2 having served with the West Nova Scotia Regiment, a life member and a past president of Royal Canadian Legion Bridgewater branch 24, a life member of the Lions club and a member of the West Nova Scotia Regiment Memory Club. He was also a long time member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. He is survived by his daughters Gail (Archie) Garron, Sluice Point; Janice (Bob) Rafuse, East Chester; Son Warren Gary (Karen), New Maryland N.B.; Sisters Marjorie, B.C.; Shirley, Ontario; Jean, Betty, Margie and Jerry all of Bridgewater and Florence of Halifax; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Harold and Carl. Visitation will be 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm Friday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater, with a public Legion Tribute service at 7pm. Funeral services will be held 2pm Saturday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Bridgewater, Rev. Mark Wagschal officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater.
