Obituary of Carmon Meisner

Carmon Stewart Meisner 79, New Germany, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2005 at home, with his wife, family and caregivers by his side. Born in Stanley Section, he was the son of the late Carmon and Bernice (Beck). He was a retired farmer having jointly owned and operated Meisner Brothers Poultry Farm with his brother Atwood for many years. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, New Germany where he was a past choir member; member and past master of Hillcrest Masonic Lodge 93, New Germany. He was a blood donor for many years, having contributed over 100 donations. Carmon enjoyed traveling, camping and was an avid gardener and for many years, he was politically active in the community. Surviving are his wife the former Myra Ruth Veinot. Sons, Orval (Julie), South Brookfield; Faron (Lisa), Coldbrook. Sister, June Connell, Kentville; brother, Atwood (Phyllis), New Germany. Grandchildren, Chelsea, Emily; Lynsey, Lauren. Many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant son. Visitation 7 – 9 p.m. Wednesday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 route 10, New Germany with a Masonic memorial service at 7 p.m. Memorial service will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Trinity Lutheran Church, New Germany. Rev. Larry Ehrhardt officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. Immediate family flowers only, donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Hillcrest Masonic Lodge or Alzheimers Society of Nova Scotia. We, the family would like to thank the personal caregivers for the comfort, care and dedication shown during Dad’s sickness and especially during the past few days.
