Obituary of Myra Meisner
Myra Ruth Meisner
79, New Germany, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2005 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Maplewood, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Nina (Wentzell) Veinot. In her earlier years, she was a school teacher, having taught in Scarsdale. Later, she married Carmon and together they worked in the family business, Meisner Brothers Poultry Farm. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, New Germany where she was a past member of the ladies auxiliary; Ruth enjoyed traveling, camping, cooking, gardening and her special granddaughters. Surviving are her sons, Orval (Julie), South Brookfield; Faron (Lisa), Coldbrook. Grandchildren, Chelsea, Emily; Lynsey, Lauren; Sisters, Susie Dauphinee, Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown; Irene Collicutt, Canaan; Lois Turner, Forties; Ruby (Sidney) Ferguson, East Dalhousie; Jean (Franklin) Webber, Dartmouth; Elsie (Walter) Maughn, Lower Branch; many nieces and nephews. She was recently predeceased by her husband Carmon May 15; an infant son; sister, Annie Joudrey; brother, Maynard Veinot. Visitation 7 – 9 p.m. Thursday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 route 10, New Germany. Memorial service 2 p.m. Friday in Trinity Lutheran Church, New Germany. Rev. Larry Ehrhardt officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. Immediate family flowers only, donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Nova Scotia Lung Association. We, the family would like to thank the personal caregivers for the comfort, care and dedication shown during Mom’s sickness and especially during the past few days, to Karen and Tony for the their loyal and loving dedication shown towards both Mom and Dad and to a special niece, Monica for her love and support during Mom’s days in the hospital.
