Obituary of Anita McGill

Anita Yvonne McGill Of Bridgewater, formerly of Newcombville, passed away on March 12, 2005 in the Halifax Infirmary. Born in Carleton Corner, Anna, Co., she was a daughter of the late Harry and Myrtle (Morse) Walker. She was a faithful member of the Bridgewater United Baptist Church where she belonged to several organizations. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening and was an avid reader. She took a keen interest in politics and world affairs. She traveled extensively, visiting many countries accompanied by her husband. She was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Newcombville and District Fire Department. She is survived by her husband, Frank; son, Richard (Elizabeth); four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brothers, John (Laura); Raymond (Doris); several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter in infancy; a son, David; a sister, Vera Whitman. Visitation will be held Monday from 7 to 9pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Memorial service will be held 2pm Tuesday in the Bridgewater United Baptist Church, Rev. Pat Gow officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown at a later date. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the N. S. Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice.
