Obituary of Ernest Oickle

Ernest Archibald Kinsman Oickle 91, New Germany, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2005 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Cherryfield, he was a son of the late Archibald and Hattie (Cole) Oickle. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, New Germany; member of IOOF, New Germany as well as a past and retired employee of Zwicker Bros., Department of Highways; Naugles Sand and Gravel (in family of South Shore Ready Mix) as a crusher operator until his retirement. Ernest was fond of all aspects of farm life and especially the animals. He was especially happy to work with and around horses, both on the land or in the woods and enjoyed attending cattle sales with his friends. Surviving are his son, Kevin E. (Marjorie), New Germany; step son, Roger E. Moore (Bella), Saskatoon. Brother, Reginald, Kingston; sister, Lena (Clarence) Kaulback, Truro. Grandchildren, Kevin W. Oickle, New Germany; Vincent D. (Linda) Oickle, Oshawa. Great grandchildren, Penny Hilton, Vincent G. Lanthier, Eric P. Lanthier. Great great grandchildren, Breanna, Tyler. He had many friends and relatives all over the province. He was predeceased by his wife the former Lulu Wentzell. Brothers, Arlington, at birth; Franklyn. Sisters, Florence, Beatrice Wile, Elsie MacKay. Cremation has taken place with a family graveside service in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, New Germany. Rev. Larry Ehrhardt officiating. No flowers by request. Donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Rosedale Home for Special Care.
