Obituary of Roland Oickle

Roland John Oickle 64, of Upper Northfield, Lunenburg County, passed away June 11, 2005 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Upper Northfield, he was a son of the late Banford and Effie (MacKay) Oickle. He was employed with Bowater Mersey for over 25 years. He was a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Upper Northfield. He enjoyed attending the numerous county fairs and exhibitions. He is survived by nieces, Joan (Elliott) Corkum and Catherine (Ken) Whynot, all of Upper Northfield; great nieces, Michele (Danny) Craig, Pinehurst; Kim Whynot, Upper Northfield; Nicole Whynot, Bridgewater; great nephew, Daren (Michelle) Crouse, Upper Northfield; numerous great great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Arnold and Gerald; sister, Audrey Crouse. There will be no visitation at the funeral home by request. A graveside service will be held 1:30pm Tuesday in the Old Upper Northfield Cemetery, Rev William Gustafson officiating. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the N. S. Heart and Stroke Foundation or Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, Upper Northfield.
