Obituary of Donald Pentz

Donald George Pentz 92, of Lunenburg, formerly of Bridgewater, passed away May 16, 2005 in the Harbour View Haven, Home for Special Care, Lunenburg. Born in East LaHave, he was the son of the late Newton and Eugenia (Gerhardt) Pentz. He was employed with Acadia Gas Engines in Bridgewater for 44 years. He is survived by his daughter, Beverlee (Lewis) Hackett, Lunenburg; 3 granddaughters, Marci (Rick) Elliott, Bellville, Ont.; Tania (Daniel) Cook and Jacki (Tony) Boutchier, all of Tanner Settlement Road. Great grandchildren, Shaelyn, Camryn; Claudia, Claire. Sisters, Ruth Oxner, Chester Basin; Eleanor (Jesse) Bushell, Calgary; Mary (Les) Russell, Halifax and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife the former Hattie Spindler. Visitation 7 – 9 p.m. Thursday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral 2 p.m. Friday in Bridgewater United Church, Bridgewater. Rev. Ivan Norton officiating. Private family burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Family flowers only, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
