Obituary of Carmon Anthony
Carmon Crosby Anthony
74, of Conquerall Bank, Lunenburg County passed away November 23, 2006 in the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Mill Village, he was the son of the late Roy and Barbara (Lockewood) Anthony. In his early years Carmon was a boxer known as Tony, played hockey with the Reserve Army, a Boy Scout Leader and played ball. He was a member of the MicMac Rod & Gun Club, founding member, Deputy Chief and President of the Conquerall Bank Fire Department. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed his time at the LaHave River Campground. Carmon owned an operated his own heating business C. Anthony’s Plumbing and Heating Ltd. Carmon is survived by his wife, Naomi Alma (Langille) Anthony, Conquerall Bank. He is survived by his sons, Michael (Carol) Anthony, Conquerall Bank; Greg (Carol Pickings-Anthony), Hebbville; and Kirk (Debbie) Anthony, Conquerall Bank as well as grandchildren, Ryan (Rachel) , Lori (Nick), Thane (Leah), Josh (Alicia) and Stephen. He is survived by sisters, Isobel White, Armdale; Evelyn Lockewood, Mill Village; Barbara Cole, Dartmouth; Marilyn (Donnie) Conrad, Lower Branch and Marjorie Linden, Ottawa. He was predeceased by his brothers, Vernon and Arthur. There will be no visitation at the funeral home by request. Memorial service 2 p.m. Monday in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Bridgewater. Rev. Scott Schellenberger officiating. A private interment of ashes will take place in the Maple Leaf Cemetery, Conquerall Bank. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to All Saints Lutheran Church, Newcombville; the Heart and Stoke Foundation; Conquerall Bank Fire Department or a charity of your choice. A special thanks from his family to the Doctors and Nurses of the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater and the Intensive Care Unit (3A) of the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax.
