Obituary of Marjorie Mansfield

of Marjorie Mansfield 83 of Timberlea, formily of Westfield, Queens Co. passed away March 29th 2008 at the Infirmary Site of the QEII health Science Centre, Halifax. Born in Winterton Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire England, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Edith (Richardson) Brown. Growing up she was employed with the British Steel Works as a checker in Scunthorpe. As a war bride she arrived in Canada in 1947. Marjorie was an active member at the Westfield United Baptist Church until leaving the community to live with her daughter in Timberlea in 1998. While living in Westfield Marjorie enjoyed spending many hours in her gardens. She is survived by her daughter, Priscilla (Murray) Frail, Timberlea; sister Joan Clarke, England; sister in-laws Esther Mansfield, Westfield Queens Co, Marjorie Brown Winterton Scunthorpe, England; several Nieces and Nephews both in England and Canada. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her Husband, Roscoe. One brother Cyril. Visitation will be held Tuesday April 1st from 7-9pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Where funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday April 2nd, Pastor Les Dennis officiating. Burial to follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Westfield Queens Co.
